You can call Cover Virginia to do the following:

  • Apply for coverage
  • Complete your renewal
  • Request a new ID card
  • Report changes
  • Check the status of your application or coverage

By phone

For help by phone, call the Cover Virginia Call Center at 833-5CALLVA

(833-522-5582) (TDD: 1-888-221-1590). The call is free. Or, call your local Department of Social Services.

You will need the member’s case number and date of birth plus the last 4 digits of the member's Social Security number.

We are open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. We are closed Sundays and state holidays

In Person

For in-person help please visit your county of residence's Department of Social Services or a local application assistance site.

They can help you:

For online help, you can chat with an agent Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to
